This Indie Spotlight is all about the web series, which ya’ll know I love. We’ve got a comedic farmer’s market, an epic fantasy series with a geektastic trailer, and the second season of a crazy family and their “matriarch.”
I like the concept of this one and really hope it delivers on its promise.
Locally Grown is a comedy web series that celebrates quirky characters and their entertaining situations at a local farmers market. Think a mix between Portlandia, Modern Family and Arrested Development set in a fictional northwest market.
This web series called The Broken Continent totally hits on all my geek neurons. I’m all for fantasy, and this preview video knows how to work the geeks.
Thousands of years ago, the great continent of Elyrion was broken into five pieces by the vengeful god, Relios. The pieces became known as the Five Shards: the Heart, the Blade, the Eye, the Crown, and the Fist.

I LOLed quite a bit at the first season of Gayle, and would love to see them shine in season two. Plus, you can’t say no to “Orthodontist and sex symbol, Don.” NPR references are a bonus.
Gayle Waters-Waters is a character I created doing stand up in 2009. After developing her world for 3 years, I made GAYLE Season One. GAYLE Season Two will not only dive further into the mad world of the Waters-Waters family, but will also explore some of my other characters.
