Tom Six’s gory tale of crazy doctor gone bad, The Human Centipede, has a planned sequel entitled The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence and has a release date of October 7.
You might remember that the UK Film Board banned this sequel due to really… really graphic content. They said it was unworthy of release due to “a strong focus throughout on the link between sexual arousal and sexual violence and a clear association between pain, perversity and sexual pleasure.” Empire originally posted spoilers on the content that convinced me that it wasn’t my cup of tea this time around.
No trailer exists from IFC yet outside of a brief, footage-less teaser ages ago. Six basically spends a lot of time enjoying his own notoriety and promising “the sickest movie of all time.” Here it is to refresh your memory:
The first film, The Human Centipede (First Sequence), is about a scientist bent on creating and sustaining a three-person “centipede” who are connected by their digestive system. It sounds horribly gruesome, but after watching it myself, far more was implied than shown. It was more conceptually than realistically horrific. But apparently Centipede Two is going hog-wild in the realistic department.
So, who’s going to see this one on October 7? What are you hoping (or not) to see?
