Lily Collins to star in Tarsem Singh’s Snow White

Lily CollinsRelativity Media’s untitled Snow White adaptation (formerly titled Brothers Grimm: Snow White) has a potential star in the works. Lily Collins (The Blind Side, Abduction), daughter of Phil Collins, is said to be in talks to play the title character alongside Julia Roberts as the Queen and Armie Hammer as the Prince. There were rumors that Saoirse Ronan might star, but that seems to be old news now.

Tarsem Singh is directing the adaptation with a tight schedule and a release date of June 29, 2012, far before its rival fairy tale film from Universal, Snow White and the Huntsman.

Here’s what she had to say from The Daily Blam:

“I can tell you that I read for it two days ago at three o’clock, met [the director] Tarsem that night and was cast yesterday. So.. I’ve read the script but it just happened so it’s all new to me. It’s a dream role, it’s my favorite fairy tale growing up and I’m still shocked. I’m excited to meet the rest of the cast, because I haven’t met anyone yet. It starts in June and I’m really excited for it.
