Walt Disney Pictures released a teaser trailer for The Muppets attached to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, but it didn’t look like The Muppets at first glance (spoilers already happening, run!). We can’t really keep the air of suspense like a theater audience can, so we can see why they didn’t tell us before they released it into theaters. Touché, Walt. The video embedded below even has a faux name, Green with Envy, and looks like a romantic comedy starring only Jason Segel and Amy Adams.
There has been a lot of buzz around this movie, what with so many Jim Henson fans out there, including me. Let’s hope this slightly odd reveal isn’t a bad sign. Check out the trailer below plus the fake-put movie poster. The Muppets hits theaters on November 23.
